INTAKE 3 - JULY 2022

I view myself as an intrepid designer who constantly ventures into uncharted territory to acquire fresh skills and techniques. Presently, I am in the process of completing a Bachelor of Design (Interior Architecture) program at QUT, and although I am enamored with it, I find that it has somewhat narrow creative avenues. It wasn't until I visited the Hobbiton Movie set that I uncovered my passion for set and prop design. This led me to the realm of scenography, where I can push the boundaries of creativity to bring to life otherworldly environments, characters, and their stories. My design expedition is a perpetual journey that continues to evolve, and I doubt it will ever come to a halt.

INTAKE 3 - JULY 2022

Since I was young, I have been captivated by the realm of Filmmaking, which led me to pursue studies at Griffith Film School and discover my passion for Production Design. What drives me most are storytelling and people. I relish the collaborative process that production design affords, and I enjoy the never-ending learning opportunities and obstacles to surmount, whether they be creative or budgetary. My ambition is to pursue a career as a Production Designer, delving into diverse domains. Above all, I am thrilled at the prospect of encountering and collaborating with remarkable individuals in the industry.

INTAKE 3 - JULY 2022

I completed my Bachelor of Design in Interior Design from Griffith University in 2021, which provided me with a firm foundation of technical and design skills. The program has been instrumental in honing my craft, and I've gained valuable experience in the field of design, which has motivated me to pursue design excellence.

Apart from design, I have a passion for motorcycle riding, which allows me to immerse myself in an exciting world away from the desk. The adrenaline rush of accelerating around corners is a feeling like no other, and the sound of the exhaust is music to my ears.

INTAKE 2 - SEPTEMBER 2019

I never knew a career in design existed until one day my Year 11 Arts Teacher approached me, handed me a carrot and asked me to design my dream house inspired by a plump, satin- smooth, healthy-looking orange root vegetable. Inspired by my teacher’s creativity, I took myself onto a journey of exploration into different fields of design – graphics design, web design, industrial design, architectural design only to find myself signed up for a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design at Queensland University of Technology.

INTAKE 2 - SEPTEMBER 2019

Having a background in content creation and studying Film and Television at Griffith Film School has developed my ability to convey emotions and stories even within the smallest details. I thrive off the challenge of creating something out of nothing and working in a collaborate environment. The thing I love most about production design is testing the boundaries of my creativity whilst also taking in the restrictions of budget and space.

They say you can live a thousand lives through stories; joy, heartbreak, risk and adventure are just some of the things I experience when swept up in a film. Pairing this with a desire to find a career that satisfies my need to express myself creatively, I found myself drawn to the film & TV industry. In my eagerness to learn more about the visual storytelling process, I studied Film and TV at Bond University. It was only after graduating however, that I came to realise that production design is where my creativity could truly flourish.

INTAKE 1 - APRIL 2019

I studied at Griffith Film School and started designing short films this is where I came to find that I work well with art house projects and the 90’s grudge scene. Further through my degree I had chosen to work within television set design. I love to be challenged in design because I think it pushes me to come up with something outside of the box.

INTAKE 1 - APRIL 2019

I am a designer who strives to question the mundane and explore the unknown. I recently graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Interior Design, and right from the beginning of the course I began to feel restricted by the boundaries of construction codes and the rules of physics.
